Just joined this Facebook Group: I Rock a Nikon D40x. Great place to go see examples of pics taken by average people like you and me. Clearly there are varying levels of skill here, but its def cool to see the range of photos featured here.

I'm back...

...and finally equipped with a respectable camera. After much deliberation, I went with the Nikon D40x, a good camera for the first time point-and-shoot to SLR convert, I'm told. I'm still trying to figure out what the hell I'm doing, but here are some pics I took on a recent trip to the Tampa/St. Petersburg area. By the way, highly recommend the Big Cat Rescue if you are ever in the area. That is where I met Mr. Bengal Tiger - what an amazing animal....
